Well, I am going to try my hand at blogging. I have so many friends and family that I don't see very often, that I thought this would be a good way for them to keep up with how Landen is growing. I don't know how often I will actually be able to post, but I will shoot for once a week, so be patient and keep checking.
Now, meet Landen. Landen Daniel Hoefs was born on June 11, 2007 (our 2 year anniversary). He weighed 6 lbs 13 oz and was 21 inches long. He is now 6 weeks old and we have seen a lot of changes in him since he was born. He is very good at holding his head up and is getting stronger every day. He was already trying to pick it up the day he was born! He loves to be held and cuddled, but when you put him down, he kicks his legs like he is running a marathon. He has gotten pretty wriggly and we have to be sure to hold him tight so that he doesn't squirm away from our arms. He loves being carried in the front pack carrier. He either stares at me or falls asleep while in it. I have to brag that he is already sleeping most of the night (and he started at only 6 days old)! He usually sleeps 6 hours before waking up to eat. The other nice thing is that I can just lay him down and turn off the light and he goes to sleep in a matter of minutes...without being rocked or anything! I don't think I will get this lucky with any future kids, but this is sure a nice way to start.
